When I called for a quote though, through a different car insurance company, they told me it would be $230 a month. Why is it so high? Is it because I stopped paying for my State Farm Insurance?

Okay, this seems to be a secret in the auto insurance world, but my insurance agent told me that if you say you have higher limits when switching to a new company your rates will be $200-$300 dollars lower! I didn't realize this would make a difference. Not only is it illegal to be insured by 2 companies at the same time, they did it without my knowledge! Are they allowed to do this? I have, I hope, resolved it but if any charges are incurred either for cancelling my previous insurance or going over my credit limit are these retrievable?

So I'm 16 and my parents are buying me a 2009-2010 Honda Civic EX-L. Anyways, the insurance will be under my dad's name. Until I get into an accident, I don't need to have insurance. Would it be better to stick to the insurance we have now. Which we have 5 houses under, and 3 cars. Or would it be better to go to another insurance company and not let either know of eachother? I have had abnormal vaginal bleeding for a month and I found out the other day I have a tumor on my uterus and need a MRI and see a OBGYN but I don't have insurance. Would they just bill me?
